SMI launches expanded Savor Silver Web site

Adds eight new 'Designers of Distinction'

New York--The Silver Marketing Initiative (SMI) has enlarged and enhanced the SavorSilver.com Web site, adding eight new "Designers of Distinction" to the inaugural 10 introduced on the site earlier this year.

The eight new designers are: Cynthia Gale, Gurhan, Robin Haley, Lois Hill, Kelim, Konstantino, Saundra Messinger and Somers.

"We are gratified by the breadth of silver jewelry design now represented on the site, both from the new Designers of Distinction and also from current designs from many of the original group," SMI Director Michael Barlerin said in a media release. "We are also excited about the enhancements that have been made to the other sections of the site in addition to the Designer Gallery. We plan to continue updating them throughout 2010."

The SMI, an initiative of the Washington, D.C.-based Silver Institute, was first announced in July 2008. Its initial objective is to both enhance the image and increase the sales of branded silver jewelry in the United States. The program is being implemented by Michael Barlerin Associates.
